Preview - Australia vs India Test Series.
A fit Virender Sehwag always spells danger for any bowling attack and his partnership with Gautam Gambhirost opening the batting is likely to resume down under. It may well be the last time Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman tour Australia but do not expect anything short of stellar performances from these experience campaigners. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be competing for the lower batting position. The Wicket Keeper will be none other than Indian Captain Dhoni and there seems to be a preference for Wriddhiman Saha as his under study. The Indian bowling attack may not have the usual faces and this was indicated with Harbhajan Singh omitted from the traveling squad. This almost guarantees Pragyan Ojha and Ravichandran Ashwin their spot in the team. The versatile Ishant Sharma, a fit again Zaheer Khan and form bowler Praveen Kumar make up the most likely candidates for 1st Team selection.
Australia won the series 2-1 back in the 2007/08 series, although many would say this is a far different Australian line-up. India may have some new blood within their bowling ranks, yet they do seem the more balanced.
