While the Maxi's are in preparation for sailing from Sydney to Hobart on Boxing day, Hobart firstly plays host to the 2nd Cricket Test between Australia and New Zealand.

2nd Test Preview

Australia have drafted Daniel Christian the South Australian allrounder, who is a direct replacement for the injured Ben Cutting. This has placed increase pressure on Phil Hughes who is most likely to be the player dropped, especially since Christian can bat and bowl. A push for Khawaja to open the batting along side Warner.

Australia may have won comfortably, although had to thank on-field errors and gun slinging batting by the Kiwi's that assisted in the win.

New Zealand have elected to bolster their squad for the second Test, calling in the seam bowler Brent Arnel to bring the squad to 14 players. The coach, John Wright, said the expectation of a slower surface in Hobart had encouraged Arnel's inclusion.

With the slower surface and the vast improvement in the batting by both teams leads to me to believe that the 2nd test will be Drawn.
