How to view other tipster's tips in your OzTips competition
There are a few easy steps to follow if you wish to view other tipster's tips in your OzTips competition.
Step 1 - Select the round you wish to view the tips for. Note: The viewing of other tipster's tips relies on how your particular competition is set up. If you have any queries please contact your comp manager.
How to Create an OzTips Account
There are a few easy steps to follow in creating an account with OzTips.
Step 1 - If you do not already have an OzTips account, go to www.oztips.com and click on the "register" button for a new account.
Step 2 - If you already have a Yahoo ID you can simply log in and proceed to Step 4.
If you do not have a Yahoo ID you can create a new account by clicking on the "Create new account" button.
You can also sign in using your Facebook or Gmail account details. If you are intending on using Facebook or Gmail click on the appropriate image and sign in.

This is only for a 3 hour period, while we make a scheduled maintenance to your favourite tipping site. We will be back even before you know it.

To view your competitions you will need to click on "My Comps" on the top navigation menu. This will provide you with a full list of competitions you have created or joined. We have added a new feature that allows you to filter by sports league on the left hand navigation menu.

We will transfer all of the following during your OzTips account upgrade
1. Your Tipster Name2. All your tips
3. All your competitions
4. All your results and scoring
5. All your profile preferences
Please follow these steps to UPGRADE your old OzTips account and get tipping again.
1. Go to http://au.oztips.yahoo.com/ and Click “UPGRADE”2. Enter your OzTips username & password
3. Login with a new or existing Yahoo!7 account
4. Confirm the upgrade

Since Yahoo!7 and OzTips joined forces back in July last year, we’ve been busy working to upgrade much of the technology that OzTips currently uses. The existing OzTips website works on one system whilst our Yahoo!7 sites work on another completely different system. Getting these 2 systems to talk to each other is near impossible. The effort that we could put into making both systems talk to each other is much better invested in creating for you an awesome site that can leverage all the benefits of Yahoo!7 technology directly.
Your old OzTips login won’t work for this site. You need a Yahoo! ID to login from now on.
Please follow these steps to UPGRADE your old OzTips account and get tipping again.

Your Comp Manager may choose to include a "Knockout Comp" within your Tipping Comp. There are no bonus points awarded for the winner of this Comp.
Each Week you will need to nominate one winning Team that you think will win each Week (Tipsters cannot pick the same Team in two consecutive Weeks). If the Team you select wins, you progress to the next Week. If the Team you select loses or the match ends in a Draw, you are knocked out (Note: this will not knock you out of the overall Tipping Comp - it only affects the bonus Knockout Comp). If your selected Team plays more than one match in the Week, the Knockout Comp is scored based on the Team's first match result.
In the event that all remaining Tipsters are knocked out in the same Week, then those remaining Tipsters are granted a reprieve and allowed back into the Knockout Comp for the following Week until a single winner is determined.
The Knockout Comp is a bonus game of skill for Tipsters and commences in the Week the Comp Manager activates this feature. Once the first Week of your Knockout Comp closes, Tipsters can not enter it after that time. April 11, 5:02 pmYou can see the latest ranks by clicking on the ‘Overall Rank’ link on the ‘Tipping Page’ for your competition.
You can see the latest results for that week by clicking the ‘Latest results’ link on the ‘Tipping Page’ April 11, 4:59 pmYes! Just enter and save your Tips for one of the Comps you are in and click the 'Re-use Tips' link. You will then be able to choose which Comps you want to re-use your Tips in by clicking the checkbox next to each of your other Comps.
Please remember to enter a margin value for any comps that have a discriminator match. April 11, 4:58 pmJust select your Competition from the ‘Competitions’ page and select the middle button for the game you think will be a draw. Don't forget to click 'SAVE TIPS' when finished.
For NRL Tipsters, the Draw is the correct Tip if no Teams have scored during the Golden Point period. A Draw at fulltime means Teams now play for a Golden Point with an extra 5 minutes of match time; then if needed, another 5 minutes. Yes, we keep a history of any changes made to Tips by your Comp Manager after a Tip cut-off time has passed.; simply click 'Manager's Changes' on the ‘Tipping’ page of any competition and you'll see all Tip changes made by your Comp Manager after a Tip cut-off and their reasons for making the changes.

You can Edit any of your Tips before the Tip cut-off time. Login and go to the Week you wish to change Tips for, and save your new selections. We do not accept Tips by email.

Click Manage comps in the top navigation of the website. Then enter the comp ID and Password for the comp you want to join or enter one of our Public Competitions at the bottom of the page.

You can view all of your Tips by going to your Comps homepage and selecting a Comp you are in. You will be able to navigate through each Week and select different Competitions if you are in more than one. You will be informed if that Week is closed, or that you still have time to change your Tips.

Click Competitions in the Top Nav of the website and select which Comp you want to submit Tips for. From here, simply click the radio-button to make a match Tip for a Home Team, Away Team or a Draw, then click "Save Tips" to register those selections.

You first have to Register as an OzTips user. This is so we can maintain security of everyone's Tips and other info.
On the Homepage or Login page you will see a button saying 'REGISTER', click this and it will ask you for some basic details. Once completed you will be able to access all of the Comp info. A drawn match counts as a losing selection in Knockout Comps. That is, your KO Tip team must win, not draw, in order to stay alive in your KO Comp.

Simply click the Timezone abbreviation in the top-right of the site header to change your Timezone Settings.

Tipsters automatically receive a Tip Reminder if they've selected that option under the My Profile section of the website.

The Margin is the difference in scores between the two Teams playing in the Discriminator Match.
For example, a Margin of 16 means that you think your Tipped winning Team in the Discriminator Match will win by 16 points.
Your Margin selection must be lower than the actual Match Margin and the Discriminator Match Tip must be correct or else the Margin does not count. The Discriminator Match is the one with the free-text box directly below the first match. April 11, 3:48 pmIf a tie occurs in a Tipping Comp between Tipsters with the same highest score for a Week, the Discriminator rule can be used to find a single Top Tipster in each Tipping Week.
There are 2 Discriminator options that your Comp Manager can choose from:
- Closest Margin: Tipsters must guess the difference in scores between the two Teams playing in the Discriminator Match; and the highest scoring Tipster who gets the Margin match Tip correct and the lowest, closest Margin, is the Top Tipster.
- No Discriminator: The Comp Manager determines their own Top Tipster if there is a tie.
If any Tipsters are still tied after the above Discriminator is used, the earliest Tip time will be used to select a single Top Tipster in the Comp.
The Top Tipster will then be named first in the Latest Results, followed alphabetically by the remaining Tipsters on equal points. All other Tipsters are ranked by scores, alphabetically. April 11, 3:45 pmYes, if your Comp Manager has selected the "View Closed Tips" option in the Comp Rules, you can view the Tips saved by the other Tipsters after that Week's Tip cut-off time has passed.

Check your Comp's Rules and if Finals Points have been set-up, the Comp includes Finals Tipping.
If Finals Points are not set-up, you may like to use the "Email Manager" link to contact the Comp Manager and ask if they'll include Finals Tipping (they can do this by allocating points for a correct Finals Tip in the Comp Rules). April 4, 12:39 pmCopyright © 2013 Yahoo!7
